Best fin setup for improving control on steeper beach breaks?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been surfing mostly mellow point breaks, but recently I’ve started hitting a local beach break that gets steep and punchy, especially on mid to high tide. I’m currently riding a thruster setup on my 6’2" shortboard, but I’m finding it hard to keep control on the drop and through tighter turns.

Does switching to a quad setup help with speed and control in these kinds of conditions, or would adjusting fin size or placement on my current thruster make more sense?
Also open to bodyboarders’ input—interested in how fin choice impacts takeoff stability and drive in similar waves.
